Felix Gall (born February 27, 1998 in Nussdorf-Debant ) is an Austrian cyclist . With his victory in the junior road race at the 2015 road world championships , he became the first Austrian road cycling world champion.

Athletic career

From childhood, Felix Gall practiced various sports such as climbing , tennis , skiing and taekwondo . He got into cycling through schoolmates who practiced triathlons .

In 2015 Gall became Austrian junior champion in road racing. In the fall of the year he started at the road world championships in Richmond, USA and won the title of junior world champion in road racing. After his return from the USA, he was received by around 1,000 people in his hometown. He received a cycling scholarship, a driver's license course and a new racing bike.

In 2016 Felix Gall won the Trofeo Dorigo Porte junior competition , and the following year he received a contract with the Sunweb Development Team . In 2018 he became Austrian U23 road racing champion. In March 2019, he achieved his first success in an elite race when he won the second stage and the overall classification of the Istrian Spring Trophy .
