Feliks Ghlonti ( Georgian ფელიქს ღლონტი ; born November 9, 1927 in Batumi ; † August 26, 2012 in Tbilisi ) was a Georgian composer .

Life

He studied at the Leningrad Conservatory from 1949 to 1954 . In 1978 he began teaching composition at the Tbilisi Conservatory , which he continued as a lecturer from 1988 and from 1997 as professor.

Services

Ghlonti received numerous awards, including from the Georgian SSR that of a "Merited Artist" (1979), the "People's Artist" (1988) and the Republic of Georgia the "National Award" (1992). Until his death he was a member of the board of the Georgian Composers' Union.

Ghlonti was married and has children.
