Felix Leonhard Giesebrecht

Felix Leonhard Giesebrecht (born August 6, 1828 in Stettin ; † November 18, 1901 there ) was a German lawyer and municipal official .

Born as the son of the poet and historian Ludwig Giesebrecht , Felix Leonhard Giesebrecht studied law in Bonn after attending high school in Szczecin . During his studies in 1848 he became a member of the Frankonia fraternity in Bonn . After completing his studies, he became an auscultator in 1852 and an assessor in 1858 , before becoming the City Counsel of Stettin in 1858 . From 1884 to 1900 he was mayor of Szczecin. In 1889 he was awarded the 4th Class Red Eagle Order . In 1900 he received the title of a secret councilor .
