Félix Ricardo Peña (born February 25, 1990 in San Pedro de Macorís , Dominican Republic ) is a Dominican baseball player in Major League Baseball (MLB). He plays as a pitcher for the Los Angeles Angels . He made his MLB debut on August 19, 2016.

Career

He began his minor league career in 2009 at the age of 19.

On August 19, 2016, he was appointed to the Major League for the first time. In eleven MLB games in 2016, Peña had an Earned Run Average (ERA) of 4.00. The Chicago Cubs made it into the postseason and eventually won the World Series . Peña did not participate in the postseason, but was on the 40-man roster at the time the Cubs won.

On October 9, 2017, the Cubs exchanged Peña for the Angels. He started the 2018 season in AAA before being promoted to the majors on June 18. He stayed with the Angels for the remainder of the season. Peña won three games but lost five; with an ERA of 4.18 and 85 strikeouts in 92 2⁄3 innings .
