Career

Roth came from Offenburg FV to the youth department of SC Freiburg in 2002 . In 2006 he made the leap into the top division and scored 22 goals in 46 games in the first two years. In January 2008 the young striker signed his first professional contract and was tied to the club for a long time.

He made his debut in the 2nd Bundesliga on February 10, 2008 in the away game against SC Paderborn 07 . Due to the failure of some regulars, he was on the starting line-up and played alongside Owusu Ampomah for 59 minutes . A few weeks later he tore his cruciate and inner ligament in a league game and was out for months. After he was not used for the professional team in the second division promotion in 2009 or in the following Bundesliga season 2009/10, he was transferred back to the second team in summer 2010, for which he scored eleven goals in the regional league season 2009/10 .

On August 1, 2010 he moved to the Austrian First League for SC Austria Lustenau . There he played for the next three years. In the summer of 2013 he joined league rivals SCR Altach , with whom he was promoted to the Bundesliga in 2014 .

For the 2016/17 season he returned to SC Freiburg , whose second team he joined.
