Felix Streng (born February 16, 1995 in La Paz , Bolivia ) is a German athlete in disabled sports (formerly in starting class T44 , since January 1, 2018, class T64 ). He specializes in sprint courses and the long jump .

Athletic career

At the Paralympics 2016 in Rio de Janeiro , Streng won gold in the German 4 x 100 meter relay with a Paralympics record. He won bronze in each of the 100 m and long jump. On November 1, 2016, he was honored with the Silver Laurel Leaf for his athletic achievements . Together with his relay colleagues, he was team of the year for disabled athletes.

In 2018, Streng became German indoor runner-up in the T64 class at the German Indoor Championships in Dortmund as part of a separate ranking in the long jump . At the IPC European Athletics Championships in Berlin he won over 100 m with a championship record in 11.23 s and also set a championship record over 200 m with 22.35 s in the preliminary round, which he improved to 21.88 s in the final. And also in the 4 x 100 meter relay with Markus Rehm , Phil Grolla and Johannes Floors , Streng won with a championship record in 41.42 seconds. In the long jump he took silver with a personal best of 7.71 m.
