Felix Welti

Felix Welti (born May 17, 1967 in Vienna ) is a German legal scholar .

Career

After graduating from the Stormarn School in Ahrensburg Welti studied at the University of Hamburg from 1989 to 1993 law . He then worked there as a research assistant with Hans Peter Bull and Gerhard Igl and completed his doctorate in 1997 with a thesis on the social security of members of the German Bundestag and the state parliaments. After passing the Great State Examination in 1998, he was a research assistant at the Institute for Social Law and Social Policy in Europe at the University of Kiel (Gerhard Igl). In 2005 he received his habilitation for public law , including European law , social law and health law with the thesis " Disability and Rehabilitation in the Social Rule of Law " . He then taught at the Universities of Kiel, Frankfurt am Main and Oldenburg . From 2007 to 2010 he was a professor at the University of Neubrandenburg ; since 2010 he has been a professor in the human sciences department at the University of Kassel .

Felix Welti is an honorary judge at the Federal Social Court and was a judge at the LVerfG Schleswig-Holstein from 2008 to 2020 .

Welti is married and has a daughter.
