Felix Wissel

Felix Wissel (born November 1, 1978 in Alzenau-Wasserlos ) is a German wrestler and local politician.

Life

Felix Wissel was elected 1st Mayor in his home municipality Mömbris in the Bavarian district of Lower Franconia on March 2nd, 2008 with 73.64% of the party . After the premature abdication of his predecessor, the mayoral elections were again merged with the municipal council elections and the district council elections in the Aschaffenburg district. In the mayoral election on March 16, 2014, he was re-elected with 96.49% of the vote. The turnout was 54.08%.

After graduating from the Hanns-Seidel-Gymnasium in Hösbach , Felix Wissel studied at the University of Applied Sciences for Public Administration and Justice in Bavaria and graduated with a degree in administrative management (FH) with distinction. Until he took office in May 2008, Felix Wissel worked as a civil servant department head for urban development in the city administration of Alzenau .

He was a successful Bundesliga wrestler in the RWG Mömbris-Königshofen squad . In 2001 he won the German freestyle championship. After his election as mayor, he announced his retirement from competitive sports.
