Felix of Nicosia
Felix von Nicosia (it .: Felice da Nicosia ), born as Giacomo Amoroso , (born November 5, 1715 in Nicosia , Sicily , † May 31, 1787 ibid) was an Italian Capuchin .
Life
Giacomo, who was previously a cobbler, joined the Capuchins in 1743 and took the religious name Felix. He was sent out to beg by the convent . Brother Felix was mystically gifted. He was in 1888 by Pope Leo XIII. blessed and on October 23, 2005 by Pope Benedict XVI. canonized . His feast day in the liturgy is May 31st.
