Ferdinand Attlmayr

Ferdinand Ritter von Attlmayr (born January 26, 1829 in Hall in Tirol , † October 3, 1906 in Graz ) was an Austrian naval officer.

Life

Attlmayr joined the voluntary Innsbruck student rifle company in 1848. He became a ship's ensign in 1854 and later often served in the Imperial and Royal Navy High Command, in particular for processing the tactical regulations . As corvette captain in the squadron staff of Wilhelm von Tegetthoff , he took part in the naval battle of Lissa in 1866 . In December 1866 he came to the Fiume Naval Academy as a professor . Of Franz Joseph I. as a Knight of Attlmayr ennobled , he retired in 1882 after 16 years in Fiume to retire back. He was buried in the St. Leonhard cemetery in Graz.

Nowak and other men of military retirement, Seltner's school director, Staudinger's school teacher, etc. Numerous wreaths adorned the flower wagon of the first Styrian funeral home. Such donated: the Navy, and the families Colonel Löw, Wittemberski, Frankfurter, Eberan, Heinrich v. Schmid, Emilie Stahlberger, Münichsdorfer, Merl, Purschka and Kratochwil, Therese Edle v. Mack, Staudinger, Government Councilor Köllsdorfer, Bouvier, Marie v. Fotor-Henschl, Marie Odörfer, Marie Medanic, Wilhelm Neumann, Ritter v. Kropp, Anna Schmid, Dr. Pendl, the sisters Edle v. Rosetti and the grateful servant Walker. "
