Ferdinand "Ferdi" Breidbach (born May 3, 1938 in Langenberg ) is a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending school, Breidbach completed an apprenticeship as a locksmith and then worked in this profession until 1960. In 1962 he took up a job as a trade union secretary and, among other things, was a press officer for the federal board of the DGB . In 1975 he was employed as an employee at the stainless steel information center.

As chairman of the Brandenburg-Berlin Citizens' Association (BVBB), Breidbach speaks out against the expansion of Berlin-Schönefeld Airport into a major airport, organized regular demonstrations against the project and published a concept for re-use in 2011. Previously, he played a major role in one of the largest hearing procedures and, as a result, the largest plan approval procedure of the Federal Administrative Court, which consisted of around 4,000 individual lawsuits from citizens from the Schönefeld area. The proceedings that were rejected by the Federal Administrative Court in Leipzig on March 16, 2006 were to lead to restitution in 2011 when the plaintiffs became aware of correspondence relating to the changed flight routes, which was previously unknown to the plaintiffs. The Federal Administrative Court stated: "The documents presented are primarily intended to prove that the defendant and those summoned to 1, against their better judgment for irrelevant reasons, stuck to the rough planning of flight procedures with straight departure routes. This claim is not proven by the documents." Accordingly, the restitution suits were dismissed in a judgment of July 31, 2012.
