Ferdinand Bund

Ferdinand Bund (born December 14, 1890 in Prague ; † March 9, 1962 ) was a Hessian politician ( SPD ) and a member of the Hessian state parliament .

education and profession

Ferdinand Bund did a commercial apprenticeship after attending elementary school and middle school. He did military service in the First World War , was seriously wounded twice and in 1918 dismissed from the army as an invalid and taken over by the post office. After the German troops marched in in 1938, he was arrested and released from the postal service. After his release from prison he worked as a sales representative. After the Second World War , he was arrested again by the Czechs in 1946 and resettled in October 1946. He then worked in refugee care within the SPD.

politics

Ferdinand Bund had been a member of the SPD since 1919. In terms of local politics, he had been a councilor since 1923 and since 1928 honorary mayor of the municipality of Settenz (Sudetenland, today Řetenice ). From 1938 to 1946 he was denied any political activity. From 1948 to 1953 he was a city councilor in Wiesbaden, from December 1, 1950 to November 30, 1954, a member of the Hessian state parliament.
