Ferdinand Glück , partly also Ferdinando Glück (* July 20, 1901 in Val Gardena ; † December 21, 1987 ) was an Italian skier who was active in cross-country skiing and ski jumping .

Career

As the flag bearer, Glück was part of the Italian team at the 1928 Winter Olympics in St. Moritz . Then he started in the 50 km cross-country skiing and reached rank 21.

In addition, Glück was an avid mountaineer who was also known as the "King of the Sella Towers " in the 1930s . In the local mountains around the Sella Group and the Langkofel he opened over twenty new rock routes; He achieved a real masterpiece with the first ascent of the smooth south face of Piz Ciavazes in 1928.
