Live and act
So far, there are only a few references to Ferdinand Ignaz Hinterleithner's life and work; most of these come from the statements noted in the dedication to his collection. His main occupation was an official of the Vienna court bookkeeping. His concertante compositions for lute and violin (treble viol) and bass were printed in Vienna in 1699. Dedicated to Emperor Joseph I and his wife Wilhelmine Amalie . The Kaiser granted Hinterleitner a printing privilege for three years to protect his works. Individual works from this print can be found in various collections (e.g. in the libraries of Kremsmünster and Klosterneuburg) in the German-speaking area.
