Ferdinand Ochs

Ferdinand Ochs (born July 9, 1824 in Kleinschmalkalden , † July 25, 1879 in Gersfeld ) was a Prussian administrative officer and district administrator in the Gersfeld district .

Life

Ferdinand Ochs was the son of pastor Christian Ochs and his wife Eleonore (née Goebel). From 1864 to 1849 he studied law and camera science at the University of Marburg and at the University of Leipzig . After the state examination in 1850, he worked in the administration of the Fritzlar district until 1856 . In the following 10 years until 1866 he was district secretary in the Hofgeismar district before he switched to the police department in Marburg as an assessor . In 1869 he became a Councilor appointed. After Theodor Schilling's death , the district administrator's office in Gersfeld was transferred to him on June 26, 1871. He held this until his death. He was particularly committed to agriculture and animal husbandry in the district.

Ferdinand Ochs was married to Auguste Mathilda (née Wiegand).
