Ferdinand Oscar Leu (born April 8, 1887 in Zurich ; † February 25, 1943 in Baden , Canton Aargau ) was a Swiss pianist , composer , music director , choir director and conductor .

Ferdinand Leu graduated from the Zurich Conservatory and worked as a pianist at times with Die Elf Scharfrichter and at the “Theater Vallé”. From 1910 Leu was the leader of various choirs, in 1915 he was elected music director to Glarus . As the successor to Carl Vogler, Leu worked in Baden from 1919 as a singing teacher at the district school as well as organist, choir director and conductor. In 1924 he was a member of the jury at the Federal Yodelling Festival in Basel.
