Ferdinand von Meggenhofen
Ferdinand von Meggenhofen (born February 14, 1760 in Teufenbach Castle near Taufkirchen an der Pram , Upper Austria ; † October 26, 1790 drowned near Hagenau im Inn ) was a civil servant and member of the Order of Illuminati .
Meggenhofen, an extensive relative of the Chancellor Franz Xaver Josef von Unertl , who died in 1750 , studied from 1777 at the University of Ingolstadt with Adam Weishaupt . Through him he became a member of the Illuminati Order . In 1787 he became the imperial district school commissioner in Ried in the Austrian Waldviertel .
In 1790, at the age of 30, he drowned in the Inn.
