Feri Thierry

Feri Thierry (* 1973 in Vienna ) is an Austrian political advisor and politician. Until the end of October 2016, he was federal manager of the NEOS party - The New Austria and Liberal Forum .

In 2004 he founded his own company Thierry Politikberatung with services in the areas of public affairs and political communication . In 2011 he founded the Austrian Public Affairs Association and served as its first president.

When he was appointed federal managing director of NEOS, whose communications advisor he had been since it was founded, he withdrew completely from his company and also ended his work in the ÖPAV.

Since January 2020 he has been managing director of the Vienna branch of the public affairs agency 365 Sherpas.

Thierry was already active as a class representative and school representative during his school days. Initially regional chairman of the Vienna Schools Union (then UHS Vienna), Thierry was Federal Chairman of the Schools Union (then Union for Higher Students) from 1992 to 1994 , from 1996 to 1998 Federal Chairman of the Action Community .

In the 1990s and 2000s he was the spokesperson for the platform for open politics. In 2001 he was active as a spokesman for the initiative group within the ÖVP for gender equality and launched the campaign “Stark. Black. Humid".

In August 2013 he initiated the project " It Gets Better ", the Austrian version of the American " It Gets Better Project ".

In October 2013 he was appointed federal manager of the newly elected NEOS party. In October 2016, he announced his retirement from this role and return to the private sector. He was followed on November 1, 2016 by the previous club director in the National Council, Stefan Egger .
