Ferman Akgül

Ferman Akgül (born December 25, 1979 in Ankara ) is a Turkish songwriter and singer in the rock band maNga . The Turkish singer also moderates the "Kulaktan Kulağa" program at TRT Musik.

Career

Akgül learned to play the piano when he was ten . He was first found in the Turkish music industry in 1998 when he played in the hardcore band Virgin Pulp. At first he played as a DJ in the band, later he became a singer. At that time he was studying at Gazi University . He later played in the band Colik , where he played with Özgür Can Öney. With this Akgül founded the band 70lik . Akgül then played with Seven , where Cem Bahtiyar was bass guitarist . In 2001 he was invited by Özgür Can Öney to play for maNga . With this band he has already celebrated many national and international successes. He graduated from Gazi University and also received his Masters from Marmara University.

Songwriting

Akgül wrote several of the band's songs together with the other musicians in the band. In the second album he also writes the songs alone. For the song We Could Be the Same he wrote both the lyrics and the music and was supported by Evren Özdemir. The themes of the texts are mainly love and grievances within society.
