The Gazi University ( Turkish : Gazi University ) is a Turkish state university in Ankara with about 77,000 students and 3,000 academic staff.

The university was founded in 1926 by Kemal Ataturk and now houses 15 faculties. The rectorate is the Gazi İlk Muallim Mektebi designed by Mimar Kemaleddin .

The University's Music Education Institute was founded by Eduard Zuckmayer .
