Fernand Letessier

Fernand Letessier (born September 10, 1914 in Le Mans , † November 20, 1987 there ) was a French Romance studies and editor.

life and work

Letessier attended high schools in Le Mans and Rennes . He studied in Caen and at the Sorbonne and passed the Agrégation in the subject Grammaire in 1938 . After military service, he was a high school teacher at the Lycée Montesquieu in Le Mans from 1940 until his retirement in 1974. He took care of recognized editions of the great French romantics Lamartine , Chateaubriand and Victor Hugo . Letessier was an officer in the Ordre des Palmes Académiques .
