Fernanda Garay Rodrigues (born May 10, 1986 in Porto Alegre ) is a Brazilian volleyball player . She won the gold medal at the 2012 Olympic Games in London.

Career

Rodrigues started her career in 2002 at Sociedade de Ginástica Porto Alegre. The next season she played at São Caetano EC. She then moved to the Minas Tênis Clube. In 2005 she won the U-20 World Cup with the Brazilian youth. From 2008 to 2010, the outside attacker played at EC Pinheiros . In 2010 she made her debut in the senior team and reached the final of the World Cup . The following season Rodrigues was active in the Japanese league with NEC Red Rockets . In 2011 she returned home and went to Vôlei Futuro . With the national team, she finished second in the Grand Prix and won both the Pan American Games and the South American Championship . In 2012, after again second place in the Grand Prix, she participated in the Olympic Games in London and won the gold medal with Brazil.
