Fernando Miceli (born September 15, 1963 in Quilmes , Argentina ) is an Argentine singer and composer .

biography

At the age of six, Fernando Miceli took his first musical steps under the guidance of his mother Nelka Denisuk , a music teacher and opera singer.

He studied flute , choral conducting and singing at the Manuel de Falla National Conservatory in Buenos Aires . His singing teachers were Leo Schwarz , Carlo Bianchi and Héctor de Rosas . He was trained in tango interpretation by the legendary tango master Sebastián Piana . This was followed by first appearances as a baritone in the choir of the Manuel de Falla Conservatory and in the Coro Bach. As a young choir director and soloist , Miceli built up the Octeto del Sur , with which he gave several successful appearances in Buenos Aires.

After completing his music studies in 1986, Miceli completed a two-year acting course in Buenos Aires. The first performances in theater and musicals followed.

Fernando Miceli moved to Berlin in 1992 . Here he established himself as a singer and performed with various formations across Europe. In February and March 2004 the singer gave several concerts as a soloist in Buenos Aires, including in the Café Homero, one of the most famous tango bars in the Argentine capital.

Fernando Miceli was invited to the first metropolitan festival Buenos Aires - Berlin in October 2004, where he performed with Luis Borda Cuarteto, among others . In the winter of 2005, Fernando Miceli Tango de Raíz's first CD production was released , which he introduced in the renowned Berlin Passion Church .

With the program of the same name, Fernando Miceli is going on tour through Germany and Europe in autumn 2006 and will present Tango de Raíz twice in the chamber music hall of the Berlin Philharmonic .

In 2006 he created his project CubaTango , with which he presents the meeting of Argentine tango and Cuban music.

In 2010 the National Tango Academy in Buenos Aires awarded Miceli the academic title for his many years of experience in the tango sector.

Fernando Miceli was on tour through Argentina and Uruguay in March 2010 and August 2011, where he presented himself at the 10th Tango Festival de Montevideo and at the Festival y Mundial de Tango 2011 Buenos Aires, his concert was broadcast live on the well-known radio station La 2x4 FM Radio de la Ciudad.

In 2013 his current CD Arrabal y Exilio was released , which only contains his own compositions. With the CD program and his band, he toured Argentina and Uruguay in October and November 2013. a. presented at the Tango Festivals of Bahía Blanca and Montevideo .

With his tango ballads and candombes , he bridges the gap between Argentine tango and an innovative type of tango interpretation. Fernando Miceli has lived in Berlin since 1992.
