The Inzersdorf district heating plant , also known as the Wien-Süd district heating plant , is located in Inzersdorf in the 23rd  district of Liesing in Vienna .

history

The district heating plant of the Wien Energie was established in 1995 by the architect Martin Kohlbauer built and put into operation 1996th It serves as a peak and reserve system in Vienna's district heating network , produces only district heating, and is usually in operation during peak consumption times in the winter months. The district heating plant supplies up to 70,000 households with space heating and hot water.

Heating plant

The heating plant has a nominal thermal output of 340  MW and consists of two radiant boilers, each with six combined gas-oil burners, which can be fired with either natural gas or heating oil . In the event of supply bottlenecks for natural gas, the system switches to heating with heating oil. For this purpose, there is a separate heating oil storage facility outside on the premises. The network pumps required to operate the district heating network are also located in the power plant complex . The time and own consumption of electric power is supplied externally.
