The telecommunications tower Haltern near Haltern am See in the North Rhine-Westphalian district of Recklinghausen is a 111.35 m high telecommunications tower built in 1973 . His telecommunications name is FuÜSt Haltern 2 . It is a type tower FMT 1 made of reinforced concrete .
Geographical location
The telecommunications tower is located in the Hohe Mark-Westmünsterland Nature Park on the Waldbeerenberg ( 145.9 m ), which is the highest point of the Hohe Mark near the Haltern districts of Holtwick and Lavesum . Directly north of the tower, the altitude is shown on topographic maps of 145.8 m .

The tower height is 111.35 m. There is one platform each at heights of 50, 59 and 67 m. The operating floor, consisting of two floors, extends between the lower and middle platforms. On the tower there are systems for the distribution of cellular and directional radio. The amateur radio relay DB0TZ in the 23 cm band is also located here. The tower is not open to the public.
