The Baghdad TV Tower ( Arabic برج بغداد Burj Baghdād  , Tower of Baghdad '), and Al Ma'amoon Telecommunication Center Tower is a 1992 erected until 1994 TV tower in reinforced concrete in the area of Yarmouk in western Baghdad . It was originally called Saddam International Tower and was renamed in 2003.

The tower measures 205 meters from the ground to the top of the antenna (150 meters to the roof), making it the tallest structure in Iraq . There is a revolving restaurant in the tower cage . The architectural design language is slightly Islamized. The base is adorned with Arabic arches and the tower construction is reminiscent of minarets . During the Second Gulf War , a tower on the same spot was used by Iraqi snipers and destroyed by British airmen.
