Ferrovia Oeste-Leste (also Ferrovia Bahia-Oeste ) is a railway project under construction in Brazil . It should go into operation in 2018 [obsolete] .

It is being constructed by the state agency VALEC. Thereafter, the concession is to be awarded to a private company. The Ferrovia Oeste-Leste is to connect the Atlantic coast near Ilhéus in the state of Bahia with the hinterland. In the final stage, this railway line is to be connected to the Ferrovia Norte-Sul near Figueirópolis in the state of Tocantins with a total length of 1490 km. The track width is 1600 cm. Due to the meeting with Ferrovia Oeste-Leste, transports to Belém in the north and the state of Goiás in the south are possible. In the south, the Ferrovia Centro Atlântica route network connects .

The first section was put into operation in 2014 between Ilhéus and Caetité with a total length of 536 km. This is followed by further sections between Caetité and São Desidério with 413 km and the last section between São Desidério and Figueirópolis with 547 km.
