Ferry is a census-designated place (CDP) in Denali Borough in Alaska in the United States . The area lies on both sides of the Nenana River 39 miles south of the city of Nenana .
History and economy
A railway station was built in the area in 1922. The railway work camp led to the CDP being settled. The area, which cannot be reached by public roads, is now isolated. There are no direct employment opportunities in the area. Many residents work in the Healy area .
