Denali Borough is a borough in the state of Alaska in the United States . Borough Seat is Healy .

Denali Borough is 400 kilometers north of Anchorage and 180 kilometers south of Fairbanks . The borough has a total area of 33,086 square kilometers, of which 33,032 square kilometers are land and 64 square kilometers (0.19 percent) are water. In the borough is Denali (Mount McKinley) , which is the highest mountain in North America with 6194 meters and is located in the area of Denali National Park .
history
The borough was established on December 7, 1990. Denali comes from the Tanana language and is her name for the former Mount McKinley . The word means “the great” or “the high”.
19 structures and sites in the borough are listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) (as of April 20, 2020), including the Dry Creek Archeological Site status as a National Historic Landmark .
