The Northwest Arctic Borough is a district in the state of Alaska in the United States of America . 7523 inhabitants live here. The seat of the borough administration is in Kotzebue .

history

The borough was formed on June 2, 1986 and was given a descriptive name based on its geographic location.

Coastal strip at Cape Krusenstern National Monument , which has had the status of a National Historic Landmark since July 1973.
