List of National Historic Landmarks in Alaska
The List of National Historic Landmarks in Alaska lists all objects and sites in the US state of Alaska that have been designated a National Historic Landmark by the United States Department of the Interior . As part of this program, buildings, ensembles and objects are placed under protection because of their special national significance.
Between 1960 and 2005, 48 historic sites in Alaska were granted National Historic Landmark status. These are predominantly sites from the earliest settlement period, Russian colonial heritage and sites from the Second World War. Two other sites have since been revoked.
