Fetsund

Fetsund is a place in Norway in the vicinity of the capital Oslo . It belonged to the Fet municipality until the beginning of 2020 and since then to the municipality of Lillestrøm in Fylke Viken and has around 7,000 inhabitants. The next larger town is the city of Lillestrøm .

Fetsund is located on Northern Europe's largest river delta, where the Nitelva , Leira and Glomma rivers become Svelle and Øyeren .

Due to this favorable location, tree trunks were transported or allowed to drift on the water of the Glomma in the past, which was a very practical alternative to wagon transport at the time. The Lenser Museum, which opened in the same year, still bears witness to this industrial culture, which was discontinued in 1985 and where the entire complex can still be viewed unchanged.
