Fettes Brot lets greetings is the third album by the Hamburg hip-hop group Fettes Brot . It was released on October 2, 1998 by Intercord .
backgrounds
Titles 1 and 19 form a framework story. The original voices of the three ??? - Oliver Rohrbeck , Jens Wawrczeck and Andreas Fröhlich - speak a dialogue written by Fettes Brot, in which the listener learns that the three ??? are looking for the stolen master tapes from the new Fettes-Brot album and have finally found them. However, they want to listen to the tapes before handing them over to their clients. After listening to the album, the Drei ??? laugh as they do at the end of most of their published radio drama episodes.
“Where the Wild Things Are”, Title 2, is an allusion to the picture book of the same name .
Titles 5, 7 and 12 are samples from films and series: Back to the Future , Marty McFly (5); The Simpsons , Episode 2F32, Dr. J. Hibbert (7) and Lindenstrasse (12).
Title 9 is a prologue to the next title " Spiderman & I".
“ Nicolette Krebitz is waiting”, title 16, is a cover version of the Bananarama classic “Robert De Niro's Waiting ...”. “Rock Mic's,” track 17, also contains samples from The Simpsons . Bananarama is also mentioned.
