Fezzano is a fraction of the municipality of Porto Venere on the Gulf of La Spezia in Liguria.
location
The place can only be reached by the road that goes from La Spezia to Porto Venere via the village of Cadimare . Three kilometers after Fezzano is the small village of Le Grazie in the direction of Porto Venere.
history
Fezzano is located below the Castellana mountain. In the village there is a church from 1739, which is dedicated to John the Baptist, and the church of St. Nicholas from the 17th century. Ancient finds from Roman times suggest that the place has existed for a long time.
There are several hotels and restaurants in the village. There are also numerous sailing boats in the Fezzano marina. The port offers 250 berths for boats up to a length of 25 meters.
Sports
The Palio del Golfo, a competition between 13 surrounding towns, has taken place every year since 2000. The municipality of Marola leads the competition with seven victories and the rowers from Fezzano only won once.
