Filago eriocephala is a plant from the genus of Filzkräuter ( filago ) in the family of Compositae (Asteraceae). Some authors also call it a subspecies Filago germanica subsp. eriocephala (cast.) Arcang. viewedby Filago germanica .

features

Filago eriocephala is an annual stem therophyte that reaches heights of 5 to 35 centimeters. The leaves are oblong-lanceolate. The widest leaves are found near the bottom. The upper leaves, on the other hand, are less long than the clusters of heads. Although the bracts are pointed, they do not turn into an awn and are not red in color. The shell is cylindrical.

The flowering period extends from April to June.

Occurrence

Filago eriocephala occurs in the (eastern) Mediterranean region. The species grows in fallow land, along roadsides and in open forests.
