The Roman Catholic parish church in Buchbrunn in the Eberndorf community is consecrated to the apostles Peter and Paul . It belongs to the parish Eberndorf . The church was first mentioned in a document in 1528.

Building description

The church consists of the nave, the core of which dates back to the 13th century, a recessed, square choir, a mighty sacristy tower on the north side and a modern vestibule in the west, which is under a common gable roof with the nave. The nave has a flat roof, the choir has a ribbed vault .

Facility

The high altar from the second half of the 18th century is incomplete due to theft. The two side altars from the late 18th century show Saints Isidore and Martin on the altar leaves . In the vestibule there is a painted, Gothic winged altar , which is labeled "EP 1575" inside the predella . The shrine's original sculpture no longer exists. The following picture panels show the Saints Catherine and Barbara . The painted wings show the Annunciation to Mary when closed and the Apostle Paul and the Evangelist John when open . Veronica's handkerchief with two angels is shown on the predella . There is a figure of God the Father on the altarpiece .

A church bell cast by Urban Fiering in 1538 is now in the Völkermarkt district home museum.
