The Roman Catholic branch church Loibegg in the municipality of Eberndorf is consecrated to St. Mary Magdalene . The church, first mentioned in a document in 1454, belongs to the Eberndorf parish .

Building description

The church is a small, essentially Romanesque building with a wooden roof turret and a southern sacristy annex . A bell was cast around 1500. The closed vestibule is marked 1496 and has a patronized wooden ceiling.

In the flat-roofed nave, Gothic windows with tracery noses have been preserved on the south wall . A pointed, Gothic triumphal arch connects the nave with the groin-vaulted rectangular choir.

Facility

The high altar from the middle of the 18th century hides a reclining figure of St. Rosalia in the niche of the cafeteria , in the middle niche a sculpture of the church saint Maria Magdalena. In the top there is a statue of Christ, above the sacrificial portals the figures of the farmer saints Isidore and Notburga . The two side altars were built around 1860. The church also features a lecture cross from the second half of the 18th century and paintings of Saints Catherine and Bartholomew and the Holy Family .
