The Roman Catholic branch church Rumpersdorf is a branch of the parish Weiden bei Rechnitz . It stands in the middle of the village of Rumpersdorf ( Hungarian : " Rumpód "; Croatian : " Rupišće "; Romani: " Rupischa ") in the municipality of Weiden bei Rechnitz in the Oberwart district in Burgenland . It is consecrated to Saints Peter and Paul .

history

The church was built in the middle of the 19th century as a branch church of the Weiden parish near Rechnitz.

Architecture and equipment

The church is a small, north-facing building with a three-story south tower with a pointed helmet in front of it .

It has a recessed choir with bevelled corners that is closed flat. The church was renovated in 1953.

The ship is two-bay and has a square vault . The straps rest on pilasters . The Emporenjoch to the south is a little shorter.

The triaxial gallery is vaulted under the square and has a bulging parapet. In the middle there is a plaque with the foundation's inscription, which was transferred from the former cemetery chapel. This reads: “ C (omes): D (ominus): PAV (lus): KVNICH Ex / Voto in ho (no) rem B (eatae): V (irginis): M (ariae) / in coleum as (sum) ptae cu (ra) vit / fieri 1695 “(German translation: By Count Paul Kunich / I vote in honor of the Virgin Mary / who took care of the bullets / from 1695 ).

The altar has a canteen with a rotating tabernacle and two side figures depicting Saints Peter and Paul. They were created in the middle of the 19th century.

On the wall there is an oil painting with the " Assumption of Mary ". Johann Rohrer created it in 1830. The pulpit was built around 1850.

There is an organ positive with a pull strap from the 2nd half of the 18th century.
