Building description

The church is a Romanesque building from the end of the 13th century with a slightly retracted choir and a sacristy on the south side. On the shingled roof sits a roof turret with arched sound openings and onion dome from the 18th century. A bell cast by Johann Ignaz Röder in 1796 hangs on the bell floor. On the west facade is a Gothic hatch window with quatrefoil . The west portal has a late Gothic door and, like the north entrance, is protected by a wooden porch.

The wooden flat ceiling of the nave has a late Gothic stencil painting with geometric patterns in red and black. The wooden west gallery stands on two wooden pillars and takes up almost half of the nave. Parts of the original Gothic glazing have been preserved in one of the five high-lying window openings with pointed arches. A late Romanesque triumphal arch connects the nave with the one-bay choir, raised by one step, with a five-eighth end and an early Gothic vault on circular services with grooved capitals . The choir windows have Gothic tracery noses . The sacristy on the south side is a 19th century building with a flat wooden ceiling.
