Stocklitz branch church
The Roman Catholic branch church Stocklitz in the municipality of Feldkirchen is dedicated to St. Leonhard . The church belonging to the parish of Glanhofen was first mentioned in documents in 1469. Since 1989, the “Stocklitz Culture Initiative” has been taking care of the restoration and revitalization of the church for the local population.
Building description
The small Gothic building from the 14th century with a ridge turret and a southern sacristy extension is spanned by a Leonhard chain. The building stands on a rock that is visible outside under the east wall of the choir, in the nave under the north wall. The top of the ridge consists of a tower ball and a compass rose with a weathercock . The roofs are clapboard . The west entrance with a straight lintel is located in the porch standing on two square pillars .
A small round-arched triumphal arch connects the flat-roofed nave with the groin-vaulted choir with a straight end. On the north side, pointed arched windows have been preserved, the others have been enlarged. A walled-up arched window can be seen on the outside of the east wall of the choir.
The plaster in the nave and choir conceals frescoes, as has been demonstrated by the uncovering.

Facility
The high altar is a multistep shrine -Altar from the mid-18th century. On a stele above the tabernacle there is a figure of the church saint. On both sides stand as half as large statues, on the left Mary and the apostle Peter , on the right the apostles Paul and John the Baptist . The evangelist John is depicted on the antependium . The right side altar shows a painting of St. Leonhard, the left side altar is a newer figure of Mary . The original figure of the Virgin was brought to Glanhofen. The stripped chains of the legendary church founder hang on the southern wall of the nave. The church also features numerous popular votive pictures .
