Filippo Petterini (born November 14, 1980 in Foligno ) is an Italian football player who has been under contract with Pescara Calcio in Serie B since summer 2009 .
Career
Filippo Petterini began his career in the youth team of AC Perugia , for whose team he was never used and in 1997 moved to the then fifth division Foligno Calcio . The defender became an integral part of the Umbrian team's defense. After the 2000/01 season, however, he rose with Foligno in the sixth highest division, the Eccellenza and also spent the following two years in amateur football. In the summer of 2003 he was signed by the third division SS Sambenedettese Calcio . Within a short time he established himself as a support in the defense at Sambenedettese. A year later, Petterini signed a contract with the then league rivals AS Lucchese Libertas .
After he had drawn attention there with constant performance, he returned to his home club Foligno Calcio. With the team, which has now been promoted to the fourth-class C2 series , he managed to stay in the league in the first season and was used as a regular player. In the following season 2006/07 the defender succeeded with Foligno as the winner of the Girone B of the direct promotion to the third highest division. The flight was also continued in the higher division. 4. When the Girone A, the team qualified for the play-offs for promotion to the Serie B . In two games against AS Cittadella there was a narrow defeat, which means that the promotion for the second highest league was missed. In the 2008/09 season, the team only secured relegation in the playout games against AC Pistoiese .
In summer 2009, Petterini transferred to the Abruzzo club Pescara Calcio . He made his debut on the first match day of the 2009/10 season for Pescara, when he was in the starting lineup in the 2-0 home win against Rimini Calcio and played through the entire game.
At the end of the 2009/10 season, he was promoted to the second division with Pescara. In the play-off finals, the team prevailed against Hellas Verona .
