film: riss was a film festival for student films that took place annually in Salzburg from 2001 to 2010 .

History and direction

The festival was founded in 2001 and was initially the local presentation platform for film work by Salzburg students. Since 2005, film: riss got along as the national film festival for film-makers from a university environment throughout Austria . The last festival edition took place in 2010.

The venue was the House for Social Sciences of the University of Salzburg . Festival directors were Dominik Tschütscher and Stefan Deller.
