Finckh (noble family)
Finckh is the name of a noble family , which in 1543 by the Roman-German king and later Emperor Ferdinand I because of the particular merits of the Imperial hard Schiers Andreas von Finck in the Turkish wars in the knightly Empire nobility was raised, with the regular series begins.
Renewal of the nobility in 1777 by Joseph II. In the 19th and 20th centuries, the family provided high officials in the Grand Duchy and later in the Free State of Oldenburg .

The coat of arms from 1777 is divided and shows a red anchor cross in silver above , a natural finch in gold on a black three-mountain below . On the helmet with red and silver covers on the right and black and gold covers on the left, the finch between two horns divided by red over silver on the right and black over gold on the left.

- Christian Daniel von Finckh (1766–1813), Oldenburg civil servant and executed for alleged resistance against the Napoleonic occupation forces.
- Alexander Christian (1806–1888), District President of the Principality of Birkenfeld .
- Johann Daniel von Finckh (1807–1867), President of the Supreme Court and President of the Oldenburg State Parliament.
- Eduard von Finckh (1836–1924), Prussian major general.
- Eugen von Finckh (1860–1930), Privy Higher Government Council, independent Prime Minister of the Free State of Oldenburg from 1923 to 1930.
