Finn Boenning Larsen

Finn Bönning Larsen (born September 5, 1920 - August 10, 2009 ) was a Danish manager.

Life

Finn Bönning Larsen was of Danish and Hungarian origin. He was the European director of the former Brazilian airline Varig , based in Frankfurt .

According to his daughter Corinna, he helped persecuted Jewish families to flee to Sweden during World War II . In Frankfurt am Main, he has been involved in voluntary functions for decades. Among other things, he was chairman of the Frankfurt roller and ice sports club and the figure skating community. The building of the Frankfurt ice rink and the reconstruction of the old opera are thanks to his initiative . From 1985 to 1994 he was honorary managing director of the Frankfurter Sportstiftung .

Larsen was married to Ingrid Sauer, with whom he had the children Corinna (* 1964) and Sven Erik (* 1967). Corinna married Prince Casimir zu Sayn-Wittgenstein-Sayn (* 1976), a man from the former German nobility , and later became internationally known as the close friend of King Juan Carlos I of Spain .
