Finnish Athletics Championships 1910
The Finnish Athletics Championships 1910 , also called Kaleva competition 1910 ( Finnish Kalevan-ottelu 1910 ), took place on July 2nd and 3rd, 1910 in Viipuri . The hourly and decathlon championships were held separately in August in Helsinki .
It was the first Finnish athletics championship in which the insurance company Kaleva donated a trophy ("Kalevan malja") for the best participating club. Since then, the championship has been named Kalevas.
The competition program has been enriched with several new disciplines, such as the 200 and 800 meter run and the hammer throw.
Finland's first relay championships took place on July 30 and 31, 1910 in Pori.

Remarks
1 The hourly race was held in Helsinki on August 27th. Accidentally, the athletes were allowed to run 26 seconds too long. The estimated real performance for one hour for Hannes and Tatu Kolehmainen is 17,815 m, for Albin Stenroos 17,646 m.
2 In the combined competitions, the performances of the right and left hand or the right and left foot were added.
3 The pentathlon included the disciplines long jump, javelin, 190 m running, discus throwing and wrestling. The ranking was based on the number of places.
4 The decathlon took place in Helsinki on August 27th and 28th. It included the disciplines of 100 m running, long jump, shot put, discus throwing, triple jump, 110 m hurdles, high jump, javelin throw, pole vault and 1500 m running.
5 The championships were held as part of the decathlon championship.
