Taavetti Heikki "Tatu" Kolehmainen (born April 21, 1885 in Kuopio , † June 15, 1967 in Helsinki ) was a Finnish long-distance runner. He was the older brother of the four-time Olympic champion Hannes Kolehmainen .

Kolehmainen took part in the 1912 Olympic Games in Stockholm . In the 10,000 meter run, he qualified for the final with the third-fastest time. He ended the final itself prematurely, while his brother Hannes won the run. In addition, he started the marathon, which he did not finish either. In 1913 he ran a world record over 20,000 meters with 1: 07: 40.2 hours. After the war, he started at the Olympic Games in Antwerp at the age of 35 . He started again in the marathon, which Hannes Kolehmainen won. Tatu Kolehmainen was 11th and a half minutes behind.

At the Finnish championships, alongside Hannes Kolehmainen, Albin Stenroos was his strongest opponent. Tatu Kolehmainen won a total of five titles at Finnish athletics championships, nine times he was second and three times third.

Tatu Kolehmainen was 1.62 to 1.64 meters tall, depending on the source, and weighed between 54 and 57 kilograms. He was a member of the Kuopion Reipas (until 1907) and Kuopion Riento (1908) associations, later of Helsingin Kisa-Veikot . Then he was a member of Helsingin Jyry .
