Finnsnes is a small town in the north of Norway . It is the capital of the municipality ( municipality ) Senja in the province ( Fylke ) Troms og Finnmark and has 4754 inhabitants (2019). The residents mainly work in the service industry. The town between Gisund and Finnfjord is the landing stage for the Hurtigruten and the Gisund Bridge , one of the longest pier bridges in Europe with a length of 1500 m, connects the town with the second largest island in Norway, Senja .
