Runa Vikestad (born August 13, 1984 in Finnsnes , Norway ) is a Norwegian soccer player who last played for the second team of Røa IL and from 2008 to 2011 with interruptions for the Norwegian national soccer team .

Career

Vikestad went through all youth national teams and scored at least one goal in each age group. In 2002 she took part with the U-19 team in the U-19 European Championship , where Norway was eliminated in the group stage. In 2003 she reached the final with the U-19s, in which the Norwegians lost 2-0 to France. In 2004 she took part with the U-21s in the Nordic Cup , where Norway finished seventh. In 2005 she reached the final of the Nordic Cup with the U-21 team, but lost there against the USA. In 2006 it was only fifth in the Nordic Cup. In 2007, the U-23 team achieved third place at the Nordic Cup.

On February 14, 2008, she made her first international match against England and also took part in the Algarve Cup , in which Norway finished 6th. But it was not considered for the Olympic Games in Beijing . Although she did not play another international match in 2009, she was nominated for the European Championship . At the EM it was not used. In 2010 she was used again in five games, u. a. one of the playoff games of the World Cup qualifying against Ukraine . In 2011, three more international matches were added before the nomination of the World Cup squad , for which she was appointed as one of the last two and only Kolbotn IL players . In the preliminary round from the Norwegian team, it was not used. After that it was not considered again.
