Fiona (actually Fiona Flanagan , born September 13, 1961 in Phillipsburg , New Jersey ) is an American singer and actress .

life and career

Fiona's parents were from Dublin ( Ireland emigrated) in the United States. She grew up in a Catholic family and learned to play the clarinet at school .

She embarked on a career in the music field and recorded her first album in 1985, which made her reach number 71 on the Billboard 200 . The single Talk to Me , which was released from the album , made it to number 64 on the Billboard Hot 100 .

In 1986 the album Beyond The Pale followed , with which she could not book any chart success. In 1987 she played alongside Bob Dylan in the film Hearts of Fire the role of Molly McGuire, she also contributed the song Hearts of Fire and four other previously unreleased titles to the soundtrack of the film.

In 1990 she released another record: Heart Like a Gun , which reached number 150 on the Billboard 200. The included song Everything you do (You're Sexin 'me) , a duet with Kip Winger , reached number 52 on the Billboard Hot 100. In the same year, she also sang on the album Cherry Pie , which the group Warrant had released. Her last publication to date, Squeeze , came out in 1992.

Fiona was married to producer Beau Hill (including Winger , ZZ Top ). She lives in New Jersey with her current husband and two children. In May 2011 she announced that she was working on a new album with producer James Christian (husband of Robin Beck and singer of the group House Of Lords ).

Almost 20 years after the last album Squeeze , the new album Unbroken was released in October 2011 in the USA and Europe at the same time. Fiona would also have acted as support for House Of Lords in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Due to James Christian's cancer, the concerts were canceled.
