James Christian, actually James DeiCicchi, is an American musician and producer . He achieved greater fame in the late 1980s as the singer of the hard rock band House of Lords , which he still leads today. He is married to the singer Robin Beck .

background

James Christian started singing in different groups as a teenager. He belonged, among other things, to the group “Hooka”, which performed with Led Zeppelin in clubs in his hometown. When the drummer of the band “Jasper Wrath” asked him if he wanted to sing for his band, Christian switched to this group, which already had a record deal with MGM Records . The group broke up after releasing two albums in 1977, and they formed the band Eyes , which gained some prestige across the state of Connecticut . The band released the album We're In It Together in 1978 , which included the song Candle in the Window written by Christian . This title led to an invitation from the songwriter Judithe Randall to Los Angeles , where Christian met Laurence Juber , the guitarist of Paul McCartney's group Wings , and decided to stay in town.

Christian applied to Quiet Riot unsuccessfully when the group was looking for a new singer and later received an offer to become singer for the band LA Rocks, which he accepted. However, this band did not manage to get a record deal. When the group's bassist left the band, he was replaced by Chuck Wright, who had left Quiet Riot to start a new band with Gregg Giuffria . He introduced Christian to Giuffria, and Christian received a demo tape that contained four titles: Pleasure Palace , Under Blue Skies , Edge Of Your Life , and Jealous Heart . The singer on the demo tape was David Glen Eisley , but after meeting Gene Simmons , who had promised the group a record deal on his Simmons Records label , Christian got the position of singer for House of Lords in 1988.

After House of Lords had released three albums by 1992 and then split up, Christian worked on a solo album entitled Rude Awakening , which he released in 1994. In 1993 he had also received an offer to become singer in the band “Manic Eden”, which included Adrian Vandenberg , Tommy Aldridge and Rudy Sarzo . Recordings were not made with this line-up, the group's self-titled album was recorded with Ron Young, the singer of the band Little Caesar .

He met Robin Beck, married her, and largely withdrew from the music business. In 2004 he released his second solo album, Meet the Man , and that same year House of Lords made a comeback , with whom he has since released other albums. In 2013 he released his third solo album, Lay It all on Me . Christian continues to work as a music producer, among others for Robin Beck, Fiona and House of Lords.
